The extenuating circumstances (EC) process allows registered pharmacists to apply for an exemption from, or reduction of, their CPD obligation, if they are or have been experiencing extenuating circumstances within the CPD year.
Please be advised the deadline for completed applications is 30 April 2026.
Only complete applications will be considered by the Registrar, in accordance with the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society Northern Ireland (Continuing Professional Development) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. Late applications may be considered at the sole discretion of the Registrar. The onus is on the registrant to ensure the timely submission of a completed application with accompanying acceptable evidence, as there is no guarantee that a late submission will be considered.
