Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland
We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Health has launched a public appointment competition today, 5 March 2026, seeking to appoint three Members (Registrant) to the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland. These positions offer an exceptional opportunity for registrant members to play a key role in helping to shape and drive the delivery of essential health and social care services and to make a positive difference to the lives of people in Northern Ireland.
Time Commitment:
- A minimum of 12 days per annum.
Remuneration:
- Attendance at meetings up to 4 hours – £120
- Attendance at meetings over 4 hours at £240
- Training and induction days are remunerated at £120.

The Pharmacy Forum NI is facilitating two events on the ‘Preparation of Pharmacists for Public Appointment’ aimed at pharmacists who wish to apply for Council positions within the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and similar roles on:
- Monday 9 March 2026 from 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm
- Wednesday 18 March 2026 from 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm
