On 01 November 2024, the Minister of Health, Mike Nesbitt MLA, announced the appointment of four new council members to the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of NI.
They are:
- Siobhan Caslin – Lay Member
- Anne Henderson – Lay Member
- Lee Wilson – Lay Member and
- Michael McGuigan – Registrant Member
The President of the Pharmaceutical Society of NI Council, Dr. Geraldine O’Hare, commented:
“I am delighted to warmly welcome our newest Council members. They join us at a pivotal moment as we develop our new corporate strategy, which will herald a programme of modernisation and change to reflect the increasingly significant role that pharmacists will play in the delivery of health and care in Northern Ireland. We will also be progressing work towards the registration of pharmacy technicians over the next few years.
“The expertise and experience our new members bring will be invaluable to our team, and I look forward to working and collaborating with each of them.”
